Deliver first-class financial leadership in a fast-scaling media and investment group. You'll work at the heart of FlightStory’s senior leadership team to shape our financial future implementing world-class reporting, optimising cash flow, and guiding strategic planning across our global ecosystem. This is a rare opportunity to architect a high-performing finance function and help steer one of the most ambitious media companies of the decade.
Outcomes
1. Lead Financial Operations
o Own delivery of robust, accurate, and compliant financial reporting, controls, and performance tracking.
o Oversee monthly management reports (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow) and analysis for executive decision-making.
2. Drive Strategic Planning
o Run a rigorous FP&A cycle from forecasting and budgeting to business unit performance reviews.
o Act as a strategic partner to senior leaders, aligning finance with commercial goals and growth levers.
3. Optimise Cash Flow & Capital
o Manage cash flow, working capital, and financing strategies to fuel FlightStory’s expansion.
o Support capital planning and debt management with data-driven discipline.
4. Build Scalable Financial Infrastructure
o Design and implement scalable systems, policies, and processes across finance operations.
o Ensure regulatory compliance, risk mitigation, and operational resilience.
5. Grow and Lead a High-Performing Team
o Lead, mentor, and scale a team of three finance professionals, fostering excellence and continuous improvement.
o Champion a culture of clarity, rigour, and commercial impact.
Competencies
* Fully qualified (ACCA, CIMA, ACA or equivalent).
* Proven experience in a finance leadership role within a scale-up, high-growth, or PE-backed business.
* Deep understanding of accounting standards, compliance, and risk management frameworks.
* Strong command of financial modelling, FP&A, and strategic analysis.
* Ability to design and implement operational finance systems and tools (e.g., Xero, Excel/Google Sheets).
* Exceptional communication skills able to translate complexity into clarity for all stakeholders.
* High EQ, sound judgement, and ability to thrive under pressure.
* Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally and influence non-financial teams.
* A proactive operator with a bias for clarity, action, and accountability.
* You are kind, commercially-minded, and relentlessly curious.

Phone Call with the Talent Team - You will share a call with our talent team who will answer any questions you have about the role, our business and any next steps.
1st Interview - This first stage will involve meeting your potential manager and team members.
2nd Stage Interview - Task - Through the task round you get an insight into the day to day responsibilities of the role and we get the opportunity to understand how you work.
Final Stage Interview - The final interview involves meeting a Senior Stakeholder in the business.
