Overview
AVS VAT, based in Stevenage and a leading award-winning VAT specialist firm, is looking for a reliable and accurate Admin & Accounts Assistant to join our team. This is not a remote position but based in our Stevenage office. This is a key role in supporting our team in the delivery of our high-quality service to our UK and international client base. There is scope to grow the role into a full-time position and take on client facing work including learning about the complexities of the UK VAT system.
Responsibilities
* General administration & team support
* Invoicing, time reporting & debt collection
* Onboarding new clients
* Data analysis & accurate record keeping
* Coordinating client VAT return submissions
* Working with cloud-based systems
* Communicating with the team and clients
Requirements
* Must have proficiency in Excel
* Strong attention to detail is vital
* Commitment to adhering to internal written processes
* Ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing
* Familiarity with Xero is ideal (training can be provided)
* Willingness to increase hours during month-end busy periods
