Job Title: Regional Key Account Manager - South UK (m/f/*)
The Impact You’ll Make in this Role
As a Regional Key Account Manager for the Abrasive Systems Division covering the South of the UKyou will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world.
Here, you will make an impact by:
1. Driving sales to exceed targets with some of the largest abrasive end user accounts across key industrial segments in the UK, including Metal Fabrication/Defence/Aerospace.
2. Assessing customer processes and applications and identifying new business opportunities, building a strong pipeline of opportunities to grow business together.
3. Working collaboratively with existing and new key accounts to gain a thorough understanding of their abrasive needs and help fulfil these with 3M solutions.
4. Building mutually beneficial strategic partnerships with key clients and establishing strong relationships based on trust and loyalty.
5. Preparing clear plans with major key end user accounts detailing main objectives, strategies & tactics and tracking progress against these through relevant KPI targets.
Your Skills and Expertise
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M is looking for candidates who must have the following qualifications/experience
6. Proven Key Account Management experience with a track record of growth with large industrial end users.
7. Tenacious, highly driven and conscientious with ability to navigate pro-actively through complexity.
8. Excellent commercial acumen and strong negotiation skills.
9. Ability to communicate at all levels of the organization both externally and internally.
10. A problem-solving mindset with capability to understand relevant industrial manufacturing processes and propose solutions to key customer pain points.
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
11. Bachelor’s/ Apprenticeship degree or higher from an accredited institution.
12. Key Account Selling Skills gained within the industrial market sector.
