Role Overview
Coverage: South and South West of England (Surrey, West Sussex, Gloucestershire, Wiltshire, Jersey, Isle of Wight, Berkshire, Avon, Glamorgan, South Wales and Somerset). Remote central role with on-site visits as required, including travel to Eastbourne, East Sussex.
Work Schedule: Full time – 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

Responsibilities
* Provide professional and comprehensive health & safety advice to branches, ensuring compliance with legislation and company policy.
* Conduct H&S audits and propose changes where required.
* Carry out risk assessments and coordinate internal surveys.
* Advise on H&S aspects such as moving and handling, fire safety, DSE, control of substances hazardous to health, and asbestos management.
* Maintain checklists and reports, investigate incidents and accidents, and report findings to relevant teams.
* Build and maintain effective relationships with staff across the region.
Qualifications
* NEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent) required.
* Extensive experience as a health & safety advisor or in a purely H&S role within a retail environment.
* Proven track record in carrying out risk assessments and incident investigations.
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to establish credibility quickly.
