Do you want a job where your influence will continue long after your shift ends? Could you support adults with a learning disability to live more independently?
You'll join our friendly team of 17 Support Workers working in a beautiful three-story house with its own lovely garden. We support four men and one lady aged between 31 - 68 all of whom have learning disabilities and some also have physical disabilities. They enjoy sharing their home with a range of pets including a cat, a canary, fish and five chickens in the garden.
They also enjoy visits to the theatre, meals out and going on holiday.
New team members are always made to feel very welcome and benefit from working alongside experienced colleagues who are quick to help with training and advice.
You'll take your turn on a rota which includes various day shifts. The various shift patterns through which we provide 1:1 support are:

Training and Development
At Macintyre we fully support your training and development. We know it can be daunting to start a new job, and not everyone learns the same way, so throughout your probation we will provide you with a mixture of eLearning, face-to-face training and mentoring support whilst on the job.

These teams, along with your Manager, will provide you with opportunities to learn and develop professionally as well as enabling and supporting you to achieve professional qualifications and career progression opportunities - all free of charge.
