What youll do
Your key accountabilities will include
* Lead price architecture analysis and research to ensure clear tiering and family price architecture, with rules and KPIs defined per area linked to our overall strategy.
* Drive key strategic pricing and promotions initiatives for the Food business e.g. Remarksable value, Price Lock campaigns; including tracking and reporting impact of these vs plan/budget.
* Scope, design and execute detailed analysis and modelling, manipulating and interpreting data from multiple sources and systems e.g. financial, transactional, store and customer to build a complete view of performance and potential opportunities across the Foodhall.
* Act as a consultant on pricing and promotions strategy to other functions, develop frameworks and tools that help to deliver a consistent and data-led approach to pricing and promotions management and be an ambassador for strategic analysis and data-led decision making across the business.
* Working closely with trading teams and external suppliers to maximise and improve the accuracy of our data and product matches to better reflect our true price position in the market.
Who you are
Your skills and experience will include
* Experience in Pricing & Promotions, ideally in retail environment and/or strategy consulting.
* Ability to managing a variety of stakeholders, developing robust data processes, eye for detail and ability to articulate findings.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills, with an excellent attention to detail and focus on quality/accuracy of output.
* Analytical thinker with the ability to dissect complex problems and generate innovation solutions, including advanced Excel (e.g. logic, modelling, macros).
* Highly desirable - experience with coding and querying large data sets (e.g. SQL, Python).
