Project Co-ordinator – Youth Development
Location: Leicester (Hybrid)
Hours: 20–25 hours per week across 4+ days, with potential to increase as the project grows
Salary: 25-27k pro rata
Contract: Part-time, flexible hours

A small but ambitious charity based in Leicester is launching an exciting new initiative – the Aspire Mentoring Project – and is seeking a driven and capable
Project Co-ordinator to lead its development.
This is more than just a job. It’s a unique opportunity to shape a vital youth support programme, working closely with the Development Director and a passionate team to provide mentoring and positive pathways for young people, including those at risk of offending or already involved in the justice system.
Key Responsibilities:
Launch and develop the Aspire Mentoring Project across Leicester.
Manage a caseload of 20–25 young people, supporting a starting cohort of 6.
Recruit, train, and support a team of 30+ volunteer mentors.
Support service delivery, administration, and project coordination.
Contribute to marketing, promotion, and stakeholder relationships.
Engage in community and corporate fundraising efforts.
Maintai detailed records and produce timely reports for leadership and stakeholders.
Represent the charity in external meetings and build lasting partnerships. We’re Looking For Someone Who:
Is an experienced project co-ordinator with a hands-on approach.
Has proven ability to launch or significantly develop projects – preferably in youth services, youth offending, or community support.
Brings excellent communication, organisation,n and interpersonal skills.
Is confident using databases, Excel, and social media platforms for project tracking and promotion.
Has a passion for working with young people and supporting volunteers.
Is emotionally mature, optimistic, and resilient with a “can-do” mindset.
Enjoys being part of a collaborative team and is eager to grow with the role and the organisation. Desirable:
Experience managing or supporting volunteers.
Strong understanding of youth offending or youth mentoring.
A driver with access to their own vehicle.
