Do you love messy play, story time, and those magical “lightbulb” moments with little learners?
Are you an experienced Early Years Teaching Assistant—or working in a Nursery and ready to take the next step into a school setting?
If the answer is YES! to both these questions, then this could be your perfect role!
I’m working with a truly lovely primary school in the heart of Pontprennau, who are on the lookout for an enthusiastic and hands-on Teaching Assistant to join their buzzing Early Years Unit from 13th April through to the end of term (17th July).
This is not a sit-back-and-watch kind of role—this is all about getting stuck in! From building towers and leading play-based learning to supporting those all-important early milestones, you’ll be right at the heart of the action.
The Early Years Unit is fast-paced, fun, and full of energy, so if you thrive in a busy, team-oriented environment, you’ll fit right in. The school is looking for someone who:
Loves learning through play and isn’t afraid to get involved
Brings creativity, enthusiasm, and a great sense of humour
Works brilliantly as part of a team
Has experience in Nursery or Early Years settings
The school itself is a warm, welcoming, and diverse community in East Cardiff, with just over 320 pupils (including a thriving nursery of around 100 children). Since opening in 2015, it has built a strong reputation for being inclusive, supportive, and a genuinely lovely place to work—for both staff and pupils.
If you have at least 3 months’ experience working with children and are ready for a full-time role (Monday–Friday, 8:30am–3:30pm), we’d love to hear from you!
