An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and well-motivated individual to join the Surgery Care Group as a Service Manager for Upper GI and Colorectal. The post will be based at York Hospital, with potential travel and work at Scarborough Hospital.
The successful candidate requires excellent communication and team working skills, working closely with clinical and non-clinical staff to organise and prioritise workload. They must exercise sound judgement, practice delegation, negotiation, and motivation skills, and have a flexible, patient-centred approach.

The Successful Candidate Will Be Required To:
* Provide management support daily, ensuring smooth operation of all services.
* Assist in developing clinic/theatre timetables, rotas, appointment systems, and scheduling.
* Investigate and respond to patient complaints and concerns promptly, following Trust policy.
* Monitor patient pathways, activity, and waiting lists to meet access targets.
You will line manage secretarial and administrative staff, including recruitment, personal development reviews, disciplinary, grievance, sickness absence, and performance issues. You will ensure staff training and effective work allocation to meet service needs.
