At Wave Utilities, we are redefining what it means to be a market-leading water retailer. As Head of Industrial Customers, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering our strategic vision for some of the UK’s most water-intensive customer groups. You’ll lead our industrial customer portfolio, supporting some of the UK’s most water-intensive businesses while driving innovation, sustainability, and customer excellence. You’ll be at the forefront of trade effluent management, environmental leadership, and stakeholder engagement. This role would suit someone who thrives in complex operational environments, enjoys leading high-performing teams, and is passionate about balancing commercial success with environmental responsibility. If you’re confident influencing senior stakeholders and energised by driving change, this could be your ideal next step. WHAT WILL YOUR TYPICAL DAY LOOK LIKE? Your day will be varied, impactful, and full of opportunities to lead and innovate. You’ll: Inspire and support your team through coaching, collaboration, and regular engagement. Develop and deliver strategic plans to grow and retain our industrial customer base. Lead on trade effluent strategy, compliance, and customer proposition development. Represent Wave at industry forums and regulatory discussions, especially around decarbonisation and the hydrogen economy. Collaborate across departments to improve systems, processes, and customer experience. Drive customer satisfaction, retention, and commercial performance across the portfolio. WHAT DO WE NEED FROM YOU? We’re looking for someone who brings: A people-first leadership style and a track record of developing high-performing teams. Strong strategic thinking and commercial acumen, with experience in complex customer environments. Excellent relationship-building skills and confidence engaging with senior stakeholders and industry bodies. A relevant degree or equivalent experience, and proficiency in Microsoft Office. A positive mindset, attention to detail, and a drive for continuous improvement. Knowledge of trade effluent regulations and the ability to lead technical conversations is a strong advantage.
