Commercial Manager
to support Air Commercial teams with procurement and contract management activity across requirements valued up to £20M. The role will involve working with both the
Define & Procure Team
(supporting pre-sourcing and sourcing activities) and the
Contract Performance & Management Team
(supporting the day-to-day management of complex, higher-value contracts). Key Responsibilities Support the end-to-end procurement lifecycle, including: Assisting customers with requirements definition (Statements of Requirement, KPIs). Producing Commercial Strategy and Procurement Strategy documents. Identifying routes to market and drafting tender documentation. Advertising requirements, managing tenders, evaluation and contract award. Provide contract management support, including: Processing contract amendments and negotiating with suppliers. Managing supplier relationships and monitoring contract performance. Supporting management information capture and reporting. Engage with stakeholders across HQ Air Command to progress pipeline requirements from initiation to award and through-life management. Undertake training on procurement systems such as CP&F and DSP as required. Skills & Experience Required Proven experience running procurement activities for defence or public sector requirements, ideally below £20M in value. Through-life commercial experience covering requirement setting, competitive tendering, contract documentation, and award. Experience managing complex and high-value contracts, including negotiation and supplier management. Ability to engage effectively with cross-functional stakeholders and customers. Existing
