Overview
First Military Recruitment is currently seeking a Mechanical Fitter on behalf of one of our clients.
In this role, you will be responsible for the precision assembly of armoured vehicles and their components, as well as the installation of complex sub-systems. You will work in a fast-paced, innovative environment where your hands-on expertise is crucial to ensuring operational excellence and meeting the highest industry standards.

Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Support company activities at sites, with customers, or at sub-contract facilities.
2. Perform hands-on assembly of electro/mechanical assemblies, including mechanical and electrical component assembly, inspection, working with mechanical equipment, chemicals, and reading schematic drawings.
3. Support continuous improvement initiatives, including lean manufacturing principles.
4. Assist the Production Manager with performance metrics (KPIs).
5. Contribute to building a motivated team to increase morale.
6. Liaise with Research and Development to foster communication and relationships between departments.
Skills and Qualifications:
1. A minimum of a C&G Level 3 or equivalent in Automotive Engineering or Vehicle Systems.
2. Experience with low-volume production manufacturing techniques and processes.
3. Bespoke manufacturing of automotive platforms.
