We are seeking multiple experienced ServiceNow Engineers to join a defence project based on-site in Hereford. The successful candidates will play a key role in the development, configuration, and support of the ServiceNow platform, ensuring it aligns with operational requirements and security standards within a highly regulated environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Design, configure, and maintain ServiceNow modules (e.g., ITSM, ITOM, CMDB, Incident, Problem, Change).
* Develop and implement custom workflows, business rules, UI policies, and integrations.
* Support the ongoing optimisation, automation, and enhancement of the ServiceNow platform.
* Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, ensuring minimal disruption to service.
* Collaborate with security, infrastructure, and project teams to deliver solutions in line with defence standards.
* Produce and maintain technical documentation, configuration records, and user guidance.
* Work closely with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
* Ensure platform compliance with MOD/security policies, governance, and accreditation frameworks.
Required Skills & Experience
* Proven experience as a ServiceNow Engineer / Developer / Administrator.
* Strong knowledge of core ServiceNow modules and platform capabilities.
* Proficiency in JavaScript, Glide scripting, Flow Designer, and ServiceNow Studio.
* Experience in integrations using REST/SOAP APIs and MID Servers.
* Familiarity with CMDB, Discovery, and ITIL processes.
* Ability to work in secure environments with strict change control procedures.
* Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
* Strong documentation and stakeholder engagement capabilities.
Desirable Skills & Experience
* Experience working on defence or other highly regulated/government programmes.
* Knowledge of MOD security classifications and secure handling procedures.
* ServiceNow certifications (CSA, CAD, CIS in specific modules).
* Understanding of Agile or ITIL-based delivery frameworks.
