Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled CNC Operator to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating, and maintaining CNC machinery to produce high-quality components. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with mechanical knowledge to develop their skills.
3 month probationary period.
38 hour basic working week with chance of overtime and/or night shift after successful completion of probationary period. Night shift = 1/3 shift allowance. Overtime = 1/2 shift allowance.
Day shift: Monday – Thursday 8am – 4.30pm, Friday 8am – 2.30pm.
Night shift: Monday – Thursday 10pm – 8am
Duties
* Programme, set up, and operate CNC machines to produce precise parts.
* Interpret technical drawings and specifications to ensure accurate manufacturing processes.
* Monitor machine operations, making adjustments as necessary to maintain quality standards.
* Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on CNC equipment.
* Handle materials safely and efficiently, including loading and unloading raw materials and finished products.
* Use hand tools and tooling to assist in machine setup and minor repairs.
* Conduct quality inspections of machined parts, ensuring compliance with specifications.
* Maintain accurate documentation of production activities and machine logs.
* Collaborate with team members.
Requirements
* Proven experience in CNC machining or manufacturing environments, with knowledge of machining processes.
* Experience with hand tools, assembly, and warehouse operations is desirable.
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to follow technical drawings accurately.
* Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team environment.
* Relevant qualifications or certifications in mechanical engineering or manufacturing are advantageous.
