SEN Teaching Assistant – Full Time
Location: Plymouth
Hours: Monday – Friday | 8:30am – 3:30pm | Term Time Only
Contract: Full-Time
Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting a dedicated and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to work full-time in schools across Plymouth, supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs.
This is a rewarding, hands-on role suited to a confident individual who can provide consistent, patient and structured support to children who require additional help to access education and thrive in the classroom.
The Role
Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with Special Educational Needs
Work closely with teachers, SENCOs and support staff to support learning and behaviour
Help pupils develop engagement, emotional regulation and independence
Implement strategies outlined in EHCPs, IEPs and behaviour support plans
Support students both inside and outside of the classroom where required
Contribute to creating a safe, inclusive and supportive learning environment
Requirements
Previous experience supporting children or young people with SEN
Confidence supporting pupils with additional learning or behavioural needs
Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
Business-use car insurance (or willingness to obtain)
Reliable, patient and adaptable approach
Strong communication and teamwork skills
A genuine passion for supporting vulnerable young people
Working Hours
Monday – Friday
8:30am – 3:30pm
Term-time only

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
