We are supporting a process manufacturing organisation with the appointment of an Interim Cost Accountant / Manufacturing Finance Specialist to support a critical costing project.
This is a hands-on, project-focused role requiring strong technical capability across product costing, Excel modelling, and manufacturing finance.

The Role
You will work closely with the Finance Manager and Operations teams, playing a key role across two core projects:

The role combines completion of an advanced costing review with a wider costing transformation within a process manufacturing environment.
Initially, you will support finalising a near-complete cost set update, including validating assumptions, refining labour, overhead and batch inputs, resolving discrepancies, and supporting ERP finalisation.
This will then transition into a costing transformation project, redesigning the model from batch-based to time-based allocation. This includes building a framework for labour, rent and utilities, and improving costing accuracy, margin analysis and production insight.
Key Attributes:
* Exceptional Excel modelling capability
* Strong experience in standard costing within manufacturing environments
* Hands-on experience in product costing and cost allocation
* Ability to translate operational activity into financial and margin impact
* Comfortable working cross-functionally with operations and manufacturing teams
