Reporting to the Director of Care, the Associate Director of Care ensures efficient operation of the home and high-quality resident care.

What You’ll Be Doing:
You will be a key member of the Long Term Care team at Rockcliffe, working in a fast-paced environment to make a meaningful difference. Your responsibilities include overseeing clinical operations, leading staff, and ensuring regulatory compliance to promote resident health, safety, and well-being.
Clinical Management
* Provide clinical leadership to nursing staff to ensure safe, effective, and person-centered care
* Collaborate on care plans tailored to residents’ needs and preferences
* Monitor and improve care quality based on evidence and best practices
Team Member Supervision and Development
* Train, supervise, and evaluate nursing professionals including RNs, RPNs/LPNs, and PSWs/HCAs
* Promote teamwork, communication, and professional growth
* Provide ongoing education on best practices, regulations, and resident-centered care
Regulatory Compliance
* Ensure adherence to all relevant legislation, regulations, and standards
* Maintain accurate documentation for resident care, medication, and incident reports
* Coordinate inspections and audits, addressing deficiencies and implementing corrective actions
Quality Assurance and Continuous Improvement
* Implement measures to monitor and enhance care quality
* Review policies and protocols regularly to stay aligned with best practices and regulations
* Work with interdisciplinary teams to identify and implement quality improvements
Interdisciplinary Collaboration
* Coordinate with healthcare professionals, including physicians, therapists, social workers, and dietary staff
* Participate in care planning, case conferences, and family meetings to develop comprehensive care plans
Who You Are:
* You are compassionate and dedicated to supporting seniors in living fulfilling lives
* You hold a Bachelor of Nursing Science or equivalent post-diploma education
* You are registered and in good standing with the College of Nurses
* You have at least 1 year of nursing experience in Long Term Care
* You have 2-3 years of managerial or supervisory experience in a healthcare setting
