Job Description
Datalogic is seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Strategic Account Manager with a strong focus on the Transportation & Logistics (T&L) sector.
This role is part of our DC EMEAI Sales organization and is responsible for driving growth across a defined portfolio of Strategic and Key Accounts promoting Datalogic’s product lines (HHS, MOB; SE) and expanding our footprint within UK. We are looking for a true hunter — someone capable of identifying, engaging, and developing new business opportunities while strengthening long-term customer relationships.
Key Responsibilities
1. Develop and execute account strategies to grow Datalogic’s presence in T&L.
2. Identify new business opportunities with large Strategic and Key accounts managing the full sales cycle from prospecting to closure.
3. Achieve and exceed revenue targets by positioning Datalogic’s AIDC and automation solutions at premium value.
4. Conduct business and cost-benefit analyses for existing and potential accounts.
5. Present and promote Datalogic solutions to customers, demonstrating strong consultative selling skills.
6. Negotiate contracts, manage renewals, and ensure customer satisfaction through continuous engagement.
7. Collaborate with internal technical and support teams to address customer-specific requirements and ensure solution fit.
8. Maintain accurate and timely records in the CRM (Microsoft Dynamics), tracking sales pipeline, opportunities, and forecast.
Requirements
9. Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, Economics, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
10. Languages: Excellent command of English, both written and spoken
11. Experience: 5+ years of sales experience in Technical Sales / AIDC / Automation / IT solutions, ideally within logistics, manufacturing, or supply chain and Healthcare environments.
Other Information & Specific Skills
12. Proven track record in hunter-style B2B sales, engaging new accounts and expanding existing ones.
13. Strong knowledge of the Transportation & Logistics industry.
14. Proficient in CRM systems (preferably Microsoft Dynamics).
15. Excellent communication and negotiation skills; able to build trusted advisor relationships with key stakeholders.
