Seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Architectural Technologist to join our collaborative design team. The successful candidate will demonstrate a solid understanding of architectural design principles, building technologies, and construction methodologies. You will contribute significantly to the production of high-quality technical drawings, NBS Chorus specifications, and project documentation across a variety of sectors. Architectural Technologist Remuneration * Office-based role (5 days a week) to encourage team collaboration and support career development. * Flexibility for occasional remote working, subject to agreement with directors/project leads. * Flexible working hours (start between 7:30am–9:30am; core hours are 9am–4pm). * 21 days annual leave plus 8 bank holidays. * Additional paid Christmas closure (up to 4 days). * Option to purchase additional leave (subject to board approval). * Continued professional development, with regular CPD sessions and internal workshops. * Supportive environment for ongoing training and skill advancement. Architectural Technologist Duties * Prepare detailed construction drawings, 3D models, and specifications using BIM tools (primarily Revit). * Ensure compliance with relevant building regulations, codes, and health & safety standards. * Collaborate effectively with architects, engineers, contractors, clients, and other consultants throughout all project phases. * Support on-site activities by addressing construction-related queries and preparing reports during the construction phase. * Coordinate designs in a BIM environment, integrating structural, mechanical, and electrical systems, including clash detection and resolution. * Maintain accurate project documentation and manage record-keeping efficiently. * Resolve technical and design challenges through practical, innovative solutions. * Stay informed of emerging trends, materials, and technologies in architecture and construction. Architectural Technologist Requirements * A degree in Architectural Technology or a related architectural discipline. * Proven experience in a similar role within architectural or construction environments. * Proficiency in Revit; familiarity with AutoCAD and other CAD software is advantageous. * Strong knowledge of UK Building Regulations and statutory compliance. * Excellent skills in technical drawing and detailing. * Strong organizational and communication skills. * Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines. * CIAT membership or working towards it is beneficial, but not essential
