Job Description Position Type : Full time Type Of Hire : Experienced (relevant combo of work and education) Education Desired : Bachelor of Computer Science Travel Percentage : 0% Network Architect – define, design, maintain, and extend functional network and infrastructure architecture for Worldpay’s networks, tooling, automation, and public cloud connectivity. Understand business and customer requirements and match to appropriate technical solutions. GENERAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Documents and publishes appropriate architecture principles and standards, position papers, blueprints, best practices, patterns, and frameworks. Defines, constructs, supports, and provides training for enterprise frameworks. Defines and maintains a library of functional component models within and across Worldpay product lines. Defines network architecture roadmap with an eye to future trends and technologies. Maintains and trains Engineering and Operations teams on a catalog of predefined design solutions available for new projects. Reviews functional and technical designs to identify areas of risk and/or missing requirements. Communicates network architecture to technical and business audiences. Other related duties assigned as needed. EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS Bachelor’s degree in computer science or engineering or the equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience. Post-graduate education desired. GENERAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES In depth knowledge of a board range of network design, configuration, operations and administration. In depth knowledge of network communications fundamentals ex: IP, TCP, DNS, SNMP, routing protocols Knowledge of network technologies, i.e., routers, switches, load balancers, firewalls, network and routing protocols, DNS Knowledge of deployment methodologies for multi-tier applications Knowledge of basic IT technologies, i.e., operating systems, network devices, software development and architecture Knowledge of data network architectures, topologies, hardware, software, transmission and signaling links and protocols Excellent customer service skills that build high levels of customer satisfaction for internal and external clients Excellent verbal and written communication skills to technical and non-technical audiences of various levels in the organization, e.g., executive, management, individual contributors Willingly shares relevant technical and/or industry knowledge and expertise to other resources Excellent decision-making, problem-solving, team and time management skills Is resourceful and proactive in gathering information and sharing ideas Proven project management skills Privacy Statement FIS is committed to protecting the privacy and security of all personal information that we process in order to provide services to our clients.
