Their commitment is simple: we make our customers' components exactly as drawn and deliver them on time. Currently, we operate primarily within the Quarrying industry, but we have ambitious plans to expand into the Rail sector. This internship will play a key role in supporting that growth. You'll work closely with our Quality Manager and external experts to implement advanced inspection technology, helping us improve quality, efficiency, and compliance. The Project Your main focus will be digitalising the inspection process. The aim is to create a system that uses customer CAD models to inspect manufactured components and generate First Article Inspection (FAI) reports. What You'll Do As an intern, you will play an active role in setting up and learning new digital tools. Your responsibilities will include: Assisting with hardware setup for the Romer Inspection Arm, laptop, and trolley. Helping install and configure Verisurf software and organising digital folders. Learning how to operate Verisurf software to create inspection routines and FAI reports. Inspecting manufactured components using CAD models and digital tools. Documenting processes and developing a Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for inspection. Suggesting workflow improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy. Who We're Looking For We welcome applications from students studying: Mechanical Engineering Manufacturing Engineering Mechanical Design Mechatronics or Robotics Engineering Skills and Competencies: Basic mechanical or manufacturing knowledge. Familiarity with CAD and engineering drawings. Ability to learn new digital tools and software. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Good communication and teamwork abilities. Proficiency in Microsoft Office for documentation and reporting.
