Eating Disorder Team Secretary / Administrator – Band 3 Young People’s Eating Disorder Service (Spring Tide Day Service, Hove)
Part time – 16.5 hours per week
Days: Monday, Thursday, Friday | Usual hours: 09:00–14:30 (some flexibility)

We’re looking for a compassionate and highly organised Secretary / Administrator to join our Young People’s Eating Disorder Service at Aldrington House in Hove. This is a key role supporting our multidisciplinary team to deliver safe, timely and person-centred care.
You’ll be the first point of contact for young people and their families when they arrive at Spring Tide Day Service, so a calm, kind and confident manner is essential.
What you’ll be doing
• Providing day-to-day administrative and secretarial support to clinicians and the Service Manager
• Typing and sending clinic letters
• Booking appointments and managing diaries
• Handling calls and managing shared inboxes
• Supporting referrals, arranging blood forms, ECGs and DEXA scans
• Liaising with GP surgeries, schools, hospitals and partner organisations
• Providing occasional reception cover
• Supporting the wider administration team for the Sussex Family Eating Disorders Service (clinics in Hove, Horsham and Hailsham)
What you’ll need
• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent experience
• Strong secretarial/administration skills with accurate typing
• Confident using Word, Excel and Outlook
• Great organisational skills and the ability to prioritise
• Experience working as part of a busy team
• Warm, reassuring communication style, especially when speaking to young people and their families

Salary: £24,937 to £26,598 (pro rata)
