Company Overview
Our client is a leading Security Systems provider operating across London, delivering high-quality installation, service and maintenance solutions to a wide range of commercial clients. They have built a strong reputation for reliability, technical expertise and exceptional customer service. Due to continued growth within their London operations, they are now seeking a Security Service Engineer to join their established team covering Zones 1 and 2.
Role Overview
This position focuses on the service, maintenance and fault-finding of core electronic security systems across a variety of client sites in Central London. You will work largely independently, ensuring systems remain reliable, secure and compliant, while providing a high level of customer service to end-users.
Key Responsibilities:
• Service, maintain and fault-find CCTV, access control and intruder alarm systems
• Diagnose complex technical issues and provide effective solutions on-site
• Utilise IP/networking skills and remote diagnostic tools to improve efficiency
• Read and interpret technical manuals, drawings and system schematics
• Manage your own workload effectively across multiple commercial client sites
• Maintain clear communication with customers and the service coordinator
Requirements:
• Proven experience servicing electronic security systems (CCTV, intruder, access control)
• Strong IT and networking knowledge, including IP systems
• Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving skills
• Confident working independently in busy commercial environments
• Strong communication and customer-facing abilities
• Capable of reading and understanding technical documentation
• Full UK driving licence
Desirable Qualifications:
• Industry certifications such as NSI, SSAIB, Network+, CCNA or equivalent
• GCSEs (Maths & English grade A*-C / 4–9)
• A-Levels or equivalent training/qualifications
