Job Overview
We are seeking a qualified Cardiac Physiologist or Cardiac Scientist specializing in Echocardiography to join our friendly and established team.
This is an exciting opportunity to be part of our busy Cardio-Respiratory Department. QEH has recently welcomed two additional cardiologists, and we are looking for an enthusiastic individual to help develop our echo services for West Norfolk.
We prioritize patient-centered care and support continuous learning and development within our department.
Main Duties
The successful candidate will be an independent practitioner in Adult Transthoracic Echocardiography and participate in specialized procedures such as TOE, Stress Echo, and Contrast/Bubble Studies, collaborating closely with Cardiologists.
Support will be provided for newly qualified staff to gain experience and additional competencies. Ongoing professional development is encouraged.

Person Specification
Qualifications and Professional Development
* BSc/MSc in cardiac physiology or cardiac science
* BSE Accredited (or equivalent qualifications)
Experience
* Significant post-qualification experience
* Competent in full study BSE echocardiograms and all departmental cardiac investigations
* Experience in training and mentoring junior staff and other professionals
Skills, Abilities, and Knowledge
* Strong data analysis and critical thinking skills
* Proficiency in obtaining comprehensive cardiac ultrasound views
* Ability to manage workload efficiently and participate in teaching
* Extensive knowledge of cardiac physiology investigations and advanced echocardiography techniques
