We are looking for compassionate and committed Support Workers in Burntwood, who are passionate about delivering the highest quality two-to-one care for our service user, building positive relationships with them and their family while enabling them to live as independently as possible in his family home.
Meet our service user
Our service user is an energetic male in his early 30s who requires support on a 2:1 basis during the night in his fully adapted annex in Burntwood.
He has a very active lifestyle and is often on his feet all day, he enjoys singing, dancing and wants his care team to be able to join in with all his fun.
To express his feelings and indicate his wants and needs he uses various facial expressions and sounds. It is important that you can understand and interpret his communication to avoid him becoming distressed or frustrated.
You will be required to assist with social activities as well as meeting his care needs, this could include personal care, mobility assistance and regular monitoring to ensure he has restful sleep in a safe environment.
Main duties of the job
Throughout the night you will provide support with his personal care, repositioning, attending to his clinical care needs when required, providing a peaceful environment to promote a restful nights sleep.
It is essential that you have had previous experience in epilepsy and seizure management
Our service user has specifically requested for female staff to work on their team.
We have the following shifts available;
1. Full Time / Part Time- 2-3 shifts per week
2. Nights: 8:00pm - 8:00am

Weeknights: £ per hour (£ approx. per 12-hour shift)
Weekends: £ per hour (£174 approx. per 12-hour shift)
Bank Holiday: £ per hour (£192 approx. per 12-hour shift)

Job responsibilities
The role of a Healthcare Assistant (HCA) is to work without direct supervision in the home of the service user providing care and support including personal, social, and domestic support whilst adhering to the service users individual care and support plan.
The aim of the position is to enable service users to remain safely in their own home with as much independence as possible.
Alongside providing care and support in a professional, discreet, and caring manner, always ensuring the service users right to privacy and dignity is maintained
