Are you passionate about supporting children, young people, and families to achieve positive outcomes?
We are recruiting for a Family Hub Practitioner to join a dedicated team based at Holly Trees Family Hub in Redditch. This is a rewarding opportunity to work directly with families, helping parents build confidence, supporting child development, and improving outcomes for children and young people aged 019, with a particular focus on early years and children under five.
The Role
As a Family Hub Practitioner, you will provide practical, tailored support to families through one-to-one interventions, home visits, group sessions, and community-based activities. You will work closely with partner agencies to ensure families receive the right support at the right time.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver one-to-one family support, including home visits and community-based interventions.
* Facilitate parenting programmes, workshops, drop-in sessions, and group activities.
* Support families facing challenges relating to child development, behaviour, emotional wellbeing, and school readiness.
* Build positive relationships with parents, carers, and children to promote confidence and resilience.
* Engage vulnerable and hard-to-reach families, including those known to social care, teenage parents, care leavers, and families living in areas of high need.
* Work collaboratively with schools, health professionals, social care teams, and community organisations.
* Complete assessments, maintain accurate case records, and monitor outcomes.
* Ensure safeguarding procedures are followed at all times.
* Contribute to creating a welcoming, inclusive, and supportive Family Hub environment.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
* Experience working with children, young people, and families in a support, outreach, education, social care, or community setting.
* Knowledge of child development, parenting support, and family wellbeing.
* Experience delivering group sessions, workshops, or parenting programmes.
* Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
* A good understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
* Experience working with vulnerable families and multi-agency teams.
* Excellent organisational and record-keeping skills.
* A proactive, compassionate, and flexible approach.
Essential Requirements
* Enhanced DBS (Children & Adults) registered on the Update Service.
* Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
* Ability to work onsite across Family Hub and council locations within the Redditch area.
