The purpose of this role is to support the safe and successful delivery of Capital Delivery Projects across the airport portfolio. You will collaborate with the Capital Delivery and Asset Management Teams to deliver projects within agreed budgets and timescales.
Our current Capital Delivery projects include all three airports and categories such as Terminals, Airfield, and Infrastructure. We forecast a capital investment of circa £130m for FY21, and this role will be accountable for the delivery of the annual CAPEX spend, managing over 20 contractors and a spend of more than £2 million.
Responsibilities include:
1. Adopting an 'Airport as the customer' approach to ensure minimal disruption to airport operations during project delivery.
2. Driving programme efficiencies through resource optimisation and project bundling.
3. Championing HSE standards.
4. Delivering projects on scope, schedule, and quality.
Candidate requirements:
* Experience in delivering complex construction projects within the transport sector (Aviation, Rail, Highways).
* A University Degree; Chartered or Incorporated Engineer status is desirable but not essential; PM qualifications such as APMQ or Prince2 are preferred.
* Strong leadership skills, with the ability to influence and deliver through others, and experience managing project development from inception to handover.
* Proven success in project development and delivery, with commercial acumen.
* Strong IT skills, including proficiency in MS Word and Excel.
* Excellent stakeholder management skills to engage and communicate effectively with diverse internal and external stakeholders.
