Great opportunity to work as a Warehouse Operative for our client's fruit and vegetable site, packing tomatoes, cucumbers, and peppers.
Staffline is recruiting Warehouse Operatives in Chatteris.
This is a temp-to-perm position, with the opportunity to move to a permanent contract after 12 weeks.
Due to the location of the site in Chatteris, candidates must have access to their own vehicle or reliable transport to travel to and from the workplace.
The rate of pay is £13.27 per hour up to 48 hours, with overtime paid at £16.59 per hour for all hours worked over 48.
Bank Holiday pay is £13.77 per hour.
This role works Sunday to Saturday, 5 days per week, starting at 07:30am. Finish times vary, and you must be prepared to work until the job is completed (40-48 hours per week).
Your Time at Work
As a Warehouse Operative, your duties will include, but won't be limited to:
- Operating an Electric Counterbalance Forklift and/or Electric Pedestrian Barrow to move pallets
- Loading and unloading lorries in a safe and efficient manner
- Picking and preparing products for dispatch
- Unstacking and handling boxes as required
- Supporting general warehouse operations and maintaining a clean and organised work environment
Our Perfect Worker
Our Perfect Worker will:
- Demonstrate excellent attention to detail
- Have a good level of verbal and a basic level of written English
- Be physically fit and able to lift and move items weighing 10-15kg for periods of 2-3 hours
- Have no issues with colour vision
- Work well as part of a team with strong communication skills
- Show a willingness to learn new tasks and adapt quickly
- Have previous warehouse experience (desirable, but not essential as full training is provided)
- Have Barrow driving experience
- Hold FLT driving experience (preferred, but not essential as training can be provided)
