Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon Lower Limb Arthroplasty & Revision Knee Surgery

South Warwickshire University NHS Foundation Trust is seeking to appoint a Consultant Orthopaedic Knee Surgeon to join its established Orthopaedic team. The successful candidate will deliver a comprehensive, high-quality service in primary lower limb arthroplasty and revision knee arthroplasty.
This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to a high-volume elective service and play a key role in the delivery and development of complex knee and lower limb surgery within a supportive multidisciplinary environment.

The role includes participating in an 1 in 8 on‑call trauma rota, regular elective operating lists, orthopaedic & fracture clinics as well as providing undergraduate and postgraduate medical education.

Main duties of the job
Provide a high-quality Consultant-led service in primary lower limb arthroplasty and revision knee surgery.
Undertake elective operating lists, outpatient clinics, ward rounds and follow-up care in line with the agreed job plan.
Provide senior clinical decision-making for complex and high-risk cases.
Attend and contribute to multidisciplinary team (MDT) meetings to support coordinated patient care.
Participate in the Orthopaedic on‑call rota as required. (1 in 8)
Contribute to clinical governance, audit, service development and elective recovery initiatives.
Support the teaching and supervision of junior medical staff and the wider MDT.
