We are looking for a strategic leader with deep technical expertise and a heart for service, to modernize and strengthen our governance and financial leadership across the Church and Christian charity sector, leading with humility, transparency, awareness, listening, and empathy. Working closely with the Head of Partner Solutions, Head of Thought Leadership and other senior leaders, in addition to overseeing our existing services, including Charity Formation and our Consultancy Helpline, you’ll help lead thought on creating and sustaining healthy, well-stewarded ministries, through existing methods such as briefing papers, design and delivery of training and our consultancy helpline, and by developing new methods and resources, as needed. As a result of our Christian ethos, this post is covered by an Occupational Requirement (OR) under Part 1 of Schedule 9 to the Equality Act 2010. The successful applicant will be expected to be a practising Christian and to clearly demonstrate a personal commitment to the mission, principles, values and practices contained in our Ethos Statement, by: · Active membership of local church congregation. An understanding of the faith aspects of the work of Christian charities, including the preparedness to pray with colleagues, where appropriate.
