ICT Technical Specialist – Infrastructure Hybrid Cloud Do you have a passion for ICT Infrastructure technology combined with extensive knowledge of Enterprise level virtual/physical servers and storage platforms? We are looking for an experienced ICT professional to join our team as a Hybrid Cloud specialist, working with SMBC employees, partners, external organisations, and suppliers to effectively deliver Solihull Council‘s Hybrid Cloud and associated environments/technologies. As Technical Specialist you will: Offer proactive support, development, and ongoing improvement of the ICT Infrastructure, including on-premise virtual and physical resources within our Data Centre and Cloud Ensure all Solihull MBC ICT Infrastructure systems optimised, secure, sustainable, and recoverable in the event of any failure or DR/BC event. Evaluate and develop a sustainable and cost-effective strategy to potentially move some Infrastructure to Microsoft Azure. Promote sustainable and cost-effective strategies for all ICT Infrastructure, this could be Microsoft Azure. Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of cyber security and compliance, ensuring systems are not compromised by any sort of malware, Identity fraud, or Data Loss. With an IT degree or professional qualification, or the ability to demonstrate through extended relevant experience the necessary specialist knowledge to undertake the full duties of the post, you will also have: Extensive knowledge of enterprise level virtual/physical servers, and storage platforms. Knowledge of Infrastructure in MS Azure. Great knowledge of working in a structured programme environment, helping lead on design, development and continued improvement of ICT Infrastructure. Excellent communication skills, with significant experience of understanding client requirements and delivering solutions.
