Rotational Pharmacy Technician

Band 4 £30353 - £33016 per annum pro rata

0.86WTE post (31.82hours)

Are you a qualified Pharmacy Technician looking to broaden your experience in a dynamic hospital environment? NHS Borders is seeking a motivated and adaptable individual to join our team as a Rotational Pharmacy Technician, offering a unique opportunity to develop your skills across a variety of clinical and technical areas.

About the Role

This rotational post provides experience across key areas of hospital pharmacy practice, including:

1. Dispensary Services: Supporting safe and efficient supply of medicines, patient counselling, and stock management.
2. Aseptic Services: Assisting in the preparation of sterile products including chemotherapy and parenteral nutrition in a cleanroom environment.
3. Clinical Rotations: Medical wardsSurgical wardsFrailty servicesMedicine of the Elderly
Youll work closely with pharmacists and the wider multidisciplinary team to support medicines optimisation and patient care.

Skills & Experience Required

Were looking for someone who:

4. Is a registered Pharmacy Technician with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC)
5. Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills
6. Demonstrates strong attention to detail and accuracy
7. Is confident using IT systems and managing data
8. Can work effectively both independently and as part of a team
9. Is committed to continuous professional development

Previous hospital experience is desirable but not essential full training and support will be provided.
