About our visitor attraction centre
Our Visitor Attraction site at Lisvane and Llanishen opened in 2023, in the North of Cardiff, and is open all year round! This is an exciting opportunity for anyone wishing to join Welsh Water. The site features a state-of-the-art Visitor Attraction building with a 150-cover restaurant, balcony with views over both reservoirs, group and cubicle changing rooms, land and water-based activities, education space, bird hides & islands, meeting rooms, and a Grab & Go.

What you’ll be responsible for
Our kitchen team creates memorable experiences through food. We value teamwork, a positive attitude, and a willingness to work hard while having fun. We welcome candidates with some kitchen experience or a passion for food; full training is provided.
* Prepare, cook, and serve meals; manage and organize team members for high-quality service
* Create menus to maximize gross margin
* Supervise and identify training needs for colleagues
* Ensure safety and hygiene standards are maintained
* Order supplies from designated vendors
* Maintain HACCP records and food safety standards
* Enhance the customer experience
* Engage with customers as a Welsh Water ambassador

About you
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:
* Experience in commercial catering and kitchen supervision
* Practical health, safety, and food safety knowledge
* Customer service experience in catering or retail
* Ability to work independently and manage a team

Start ASAP. Zero hours contract with work during school holidays, including winter. Weekend day shifts, starting in the morning and ending late afternoon. 8-16 hours per week.
