They are on the lookout for a driven, capable Principal Flood Risk Assessor committed to overseeing an already-established team of designers and hydrologists at the office based near the thriving, industrial town of Warrington.

Responsibilities for the role of Principal Flood Risk Assessor include:
8. Managing technical tender submissions, including Flood Risk Assessments (FRA), Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA), drainage assessment reports, and similar documents
9. Preparing, checking, and submitting reports, calculations, models, and other such technical documents
10. Taking ownership of projects, managing resources, budgets, timeframes, and delivery/implementation
11. Managing client and other stakeholder relations, across the public and private sectors
12. Overseeing the Continuing Professional Development (CPD) of design colleagues
13. Identifying Business Development (BD) opportunities, and working to develop these
14. Enforcing and upholding the relevant industry standards, processes, procedures, and legislation at all times
Required skills and experience for the role of Principal Flood Risk Assessor include:
15. A UK Degree (or equivalent qualification) in Civil Engineering, Hydrology, or Environmental Management (or a similar, relevant discipline)
16. Possess Chartered Status with a recognised Professional Body (e.g., CIWEM)
17. Extensive experience of working in a Flood Risk role, within a UK-based design consultancy setting
18. Highly proficient in the use of several relevant software systems, including FEH, WINFAP FEH, Flood Modeller, HEC-RAS, AutoCAD, and WinDES
19. Experience of leading projects and people
20. Outstanding communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills
Desirable skills and experience for the role of Principal Flood Risk Assessor include:
21. A UK Master’s Degree (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline
22. Highly competent in the use of the Microsoft Office Suite (including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
