Join our team at M&S as a Customer Assistant in our Bakery section, where you'll become a champion of our delicious baked goods. We're seeking passionate individuals with a love for baking and a deep understanding of bakery products to deliver fresh perspectives every day.

You'll be a brand ambassador, ready to recommend our bakery products. Through remarkable service, you'll ensure our customers feel valued every time they shop with us.

· At M&S, our customers don't wait; you’ll be ready to roll your sleeves up, work hard, and go above and beyond every day.

· Being digitally confident is essential. You'll utilise our digital tools, such as the Sparks App, to enhance the customer experience and ensure they get the products they want when they need them.

· Efficiency and effectiveness are key. You'll ensure customers don’t wait while maintaining high standards in food safety and hygiene.

· Being a team player is crucial. You'll create a great inclusive store environment, supporting and respecting colleagues and customers.

· Flexibility is vital. You should be confident working across various areas of the store, adapting to changing demands seamlessly.

Purpose

Key Accountabilities

· Serve customers efficiently on the shop floor and at service points.

· Keep the store clean and shelves stocked.

· Monitor and deliver on sales targets, promotions, and opportunities.

· Engage proactively with customers, understand their needs, and provide remarkable service.

· Build product knowledge to recommend and sell our products and services.

· Receive training to utilise digital tools and communication channels effectively.
