The Role
We are looking to appoint a full-time Swimming Teacher to cover a Maternity Leave from Monday 5th January 2026 for approximately two terms until the end of the academic year. The successful candidate will be energetic and knowledgeable in the discipline of swimming, and they will take an active part in the running of our swimming programme in the Infant and Junior Division and Senior Division.
This Swimming Teacher will be an integral part in our wider sports team and will work under the direction of the Lead Swimming Teacher and the Director of Sport. The role involves teaching all ages and abilities from Reception age to Year 9 in developing swimming skills, improving techniques and increasing water confidence. The job will involve teaching swimming to pupils in groups and forms, training schedules for our various clubs before and after school and at weekends as part of our extra-curricular offer, as well as galas for those involved in competitive sport.
Salary and conditions
This is a full-time role working 37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday during term-time plus three additional weeks to be spread across the year. The full-time equivalent salary would be £31,092, the actual salary will be £26,907 based on the term-time only working pattern.
