About the Role
We are seeking a passionate and caring Early Years Practitioner to join our dedicated team at Kingsway Children’s Centre. In this rewarding role, you will support the day-to-day operation of the setting, ensuring a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment for children.
You will play a vital role in supporting children’s development in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), building strong relationships with children and families, and contributing to high-quality childcare provision. This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic individual committed to delivering outstanding early years education and care
Actual Salary: £12,636.28 per annum
Working Pattern: 18.5 hours per week / Monday, Tuesday 7.5 hours and Wednesday 3.5 hours with various shifts scheduled between 7:45am and 5:15pm.

Key Responsibilities
* Create and maintain a safe, secure and welcoming environment for children at all times
* Support children’s learning and development through engaging and stimulating activities aligned with EYFS
* Act as a key person, planning and delivering age-appropriate activities and monitoring children’s progress
* Build positive relationships with children, parents and external professionals to support individual needs
* Carry out observations and maintain accurate developmental records in line with EYFS requirements
* Promote positive behaviour and support children’s emotional wellbeing
* Follow safeguarding procedures and ensure compliance with policies and Ofsted standards
* Assist with daily routines including meals, hygiene and general care of children
* Ensure play areas and equipment are safe, clean and fit for purpose

Essential Criteria
* Level 2 qualification in Childcare (or working towards)
* Recent experience in a nursery or similar early years setting
* Knowledge and understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
* Awareness of safeguarding and child protection practices
* Good communication skills, both written and verbal
