Overview
The post is a 6‑to‑12‑month Fixed‑Term Clinical Fellowship in Paediatric Anaesthesia, starting August 2026, based at the Royal Hospital for Children, Glasgow. The position is full time and follows the CCT clinical fellow rotation schedule.
Responsibilities and Duties
Provide advanced sub‑specialist training in Paediatric Anaesthesia across all specialities including cardiac, craniofacial, neurosurgery, complex airway, cleft and pain, and a high neonatal workload. Sub‑interests in simulation teaching, wellbeing, eco‑anaesthesia, research, audit and quality improvement are encouraged. The fellowship will support clinical care, teaching, and quality improvement activities, with opportunities to tailor the training to specialise interests.
Qualifications and Requirements
* Must hold a Certificate of Completion of Specialist training in Anaesthesia or equivalent on the first day of the post.
* The post is not suitable for applicants wishing to pursue the MTI route.
* Applicants who have not completed a UK Foundation Programme within 3.5 years of the advertised start date must provide a Certificate of Readiness to Enter Specialty Training (CREST).
