Pay: £166.32 per day
Location: Across Secondary Schools and Colleges in South Wales
Contract: Full-time and Part-time opportunities available (with potential for long-term and permanent roles)
Empowering Learning Cardiff is currently recruiting an enthusiastic and dedicated Health & Social Care Teacher to deliver engaging and high-quality lessons across Key Stage 4 and Post-16 (A-Level/FE) within secondary schools and colleges across South Wales.
This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate educator to inspire learners pursuing a future in the health, social care, childcare and early years sectors-helping students gain the knowledge, understanding, and practical skills essential for higher education and employment in care-related professions.
Role Responsibilities:
Plan, prepare, and deliver Health & Social Care lessons across KS4 and A-Level, ensuring alignment with curriculum specifications.
Assess learner progress, provide constructive feedback, and support achievement at all levels.
Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages engagement and personal development.
Collaborate with curriculum leaders and colleagues to enhance course delivery and learner outcomes.
Support learners in developing employability and vocational skills relevant to the care sector.
Requirements:
Degree-level qualification in Health & Social Care or a related field.
Recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, QTS, QTLS, or equivalent).
Experience teaching Health & Social Care at GCSE, BTEC, or A-Level.
Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
Right to work in the UK and two recent professional references.
