Position: Treasurer at Tynemouth District Scouts
Overview
All trustees share responsibility for managing resources, with the Treasurer providing sound financial administration, support, and information to the Trustee Board and District, in line with The Scout Association's policies and rules.
Responsibilities
1. Manage and monitor financial activities of the District and Trustee Board.
2. Act as Treasurer for Tynemouth Scout Council.
3. Prepare and present financial reports and accounts to the Trustee Board.
4. Lead the creation of budgets, financial planning, and monitoring.
5. Maintain accurate financial records, including receipts, cheque books, and bank statements, complying with legal regulations.
6. Ensure the District's financial stability, reserves, and proper accounting procedures.
7. Prepare the Annual Statement of Accounts for independent examination and approval at the AGM.
8. Oversee the independent examination process of the Annual Statement of Accounts.
9. Participate in finance-related working groups or sub-committees as needed.

Time commitment: Flexible hours with regular 2-hour board meetings bi-monthly.
