Are you an experienced SEN practitioner with a passion for nurturing pupils who thrive in bespoke, highly personalised learning environments? Hays Education is working in partnership with a warm, inclusive mainstream primary school seeking a dedicated SEN Teacher to lead a small specialist provision of seven pupils across mixed ages.

Your new role
You will be responsible for teaching and supporting a small group of pupils with diverse learning profiles. The provision operates as a self-contained class, allowing you to deliver highly individualised learning experiences that meet each child’s developmental stage.
Your responsibilities will include:
1. Planning and delivering engaging, differentiated lessons
2. Creating a calm, structured and supportive learning environment
3. Working closely with support staff, SENCO and external agencies
4. Using assessment to inform personalised learning pathways
5. Building strong relationships with pupils and families
What you'll need to succeed
6. EYFS experience – this is crucial due to the developmental needs of several pupils
7. Strong understanding of SEND, particularly in relation tomunication, sensory and social needs
8. Ability to adapt teaching creatively for mixed-age, mixed-ability learners
9. A nurturing, patient and resilient approach
10. QTS or equivalent teaching qualification
