Job Summary
The SHO - A&E (Specialist Health Officer - Assessment & Evaluation) plays a critical role in ensuring the effective assessment and evaluation of health programs and initiatives. This position requires a detail-oriented individual who can analyze data, develop reports, and provide recommendations to enhance program effectiveness. The SHO will work collaboratively with various stakeholders to ensure that health assessments are conducted efficiently and effectively.
Duties
* Conduct comprehensive assessments of health programs to evaluate their effectiveness and impact.
* Analyze quantitative and qualitative data to identify trends, gaps, and areas for improvement.
* Prepare detailed reports summarizing findings and recommendations for stakeholders.
* Collaborate with program managers and other team members to develop evaluation frameworks.
* Facilitate training sessions for staff on assessment methodologies and best practices.
* Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards in all evaluation activities.
* Maintain accurate records of assessments and evaluations conducted.
Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Health Sciences, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
* Strong analytical skills with experience in data analysis tools and methodologies.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills for report writing and presentations.
* Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
* Familiarity with health program evaluation frameworks is a plus.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and statistical software is desirable.
