Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Caretaker to provide exceptional support and care in various settings. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment while ensuring the well-being of individuals in their care. This role requires a strong commitment to service and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Duties
* Perform commercial cleaning tasks, including dusting, mopping, vacuuming, and sanitising surfaces.
* Covering sites, locking and unlocking.
* Assist individuals with daily living activities, such as personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication management.
* Monitor the health and safety of residents or clients, reporting any concerns to the appropriate personnel.
* Maintain accurate records of care provided and any changes in the individual's condition.
* Foster a positive and supportive atmosphere by engaging with individuals in meaningful ways.
* Ensure that all cleaning supplies and equipment are used safely and stored correctly.
* Collaborate with other staff members to ensure comprehensive care is provided.
Skills
* Proven experience in commercial cleaning is highly desirable.
* Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
* Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
* Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others.
* Basic knowledge of health and safety regulations related to care environments.
