Salary up to £70,000 DOE, Welcome Bonus up to £5,000 plus Relocation Allowance up to £5,000.
Are you a veterinary surgeon who is looking for a large caseload of dogs and cats with a view of seeing more exotic pets too? This role is suitable for someone with good communication skills, a positive can-do attitude and willingness to learn. You will be supported by an experienced team including our head vet (exotic certificate holder) with diagnostic imaging-focused vets, a skilled nursing team, and support staff.
At Apollo Vets, we see all animals, big or small including exotics — we will not turn away any animal in need of care.
We offer flexible work patterns to support work-life balance, including options for shorter hours, longer hours, or part-time work. Our opening hours at the main branch are Monday to Friday 8am – 7pm, with branch clinics open 8:30am – 6:30pm Monday to Friday. A share of 1:5 Saturday mornings (8am – 1pm) is required, with no out-of-hours requirement at the main site in Black Notley, Braintree.
Our three-site practice provides a family-friendly atmosphere. Our main site is in Black Notley, with branches in Maldon and Dunmow. We operate a rota across all three sites.
Facilities & Team
Facilities include digital radiography and dental capabilities, as well as ultrasonography. The team comprises 3 Veterinary Surgeons (including the head vet), 6 registered veterinary nurses, 2 student veterinary nurses, a veterinary care assistant, 6 receptionists, a Practice Director who is also a registered veterinary nurse, and a diverse range of expertise including an exotic certificate holder, diagnostic imaging-focused vets, and an anaesthetic certificate holder nurse.
