Practice Pharmacist Maternity Cover
Peterculter Medical Practice is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Practice Pharmacist to join our friendly and forward thinking team to provide maternity cover for a period of 12 months starting May 2026. This is an excellent chance to contribute to high quality patient care in a supportive multidisciplinary team.
We care for 8,000 patients and have a dedicated team of 7 GPs, ANPs, NP, Practice Nurses, HCAs and 2 Practice Pharmacists and Pharmacy Technician. Together, we work closely to deliver exceptional care to our community.
Main role and responsibilities:
Collaborating with the clinical team to support patient care and provide pharmaceutical services in a range of tasks including:
1. Acute prescription requests
2. Medicines reconciliation
3. Processing hospital letters
4. Pharmaceutical queries
5. Working as part of a friendly and supportive pharmacy team
6. Assisting with pharmacy related improvements within the practice
Candidate Requirements:
7. MPharm degree and registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC)
8. Primary care experience preferred but not essential
9. Independent Prescriber qualification preferred but not essential
10. Strong clinical knowledge with the ability to work on your own initiative
11. Excellent communication skills and the ability to adapt to a primary care setting
12. Good IT skills and a commitment to continuous professional development
Salary: Negotiable. Competitive salary dependent on experience.
Hours: 32 hours per week to be worked over 4 or 5 days, job share will be considered.
Contract Type: Maternity cover for 1 year starting May 2026
