In this role you’ll work directly with prisoners in a unique environment, helping to protect the public and make a positive impact. You’ll build constructive, positive and professional relationships with offenders who could be at the lowest point in their lives. Teamwork is vital, and you’ll be fully committed to supporting your colleagues and acting as one team to keep the prison, offenders and everyone who works here safe. You will be required to work various shifts and weekends.
Responsibilities
* Carry out a range of duties in a dynamic prison environment, including peacekeeping, counselling and teaching roles as needed.
* Protect the public and contribute to positive outcomes for offenders.
* Build constructive, positive, and professional relationships with offenders and colleagues.
* Work as part of a team to maintain safety and security within the prison.
* Adhere to professional standards and respond to changing situations on a daily basis.
* Undertake training and develop in areas to support progression and specialist opportunities.
