Job Duties
The Virginia IT Agency (VITA) is seeking an IT Analyst in the Internal IT Division.
The IT Analyst will work with and provide technical support to our Agency IT Resource (AITR) by performing key tasks by placing focus on improving experiences for our internal VITA IT customers in receiving timely and quality service for their day-to-day technology needs.
This candidate will perform the following tasks:
• Coordination of PC refresh activities, which include validating assets, placing orders and assisting with scheduling.
• Assist with license management and budget tracking for internal VITA IT procurements to include Visio/Project, Visual Studio, Adobe, etc.
• Asset inventory – Ensure all VITA infrastructure is correct within the CMDB, which includes PC, servers, etc. Inventory activities include submitting decommissions to remove PCs that have been refreshed, lost, or returned as part of offboarding, as well as ensuring physical assets, including servers, are assigned properly in the CMDB to ensure proper billing.
• Working with VITA associates to answer general technology questions, perform general desktop/deskside support and follow-up on open helpdesk requests to ensure timely resolution within the agreed upon SLA.
• Serve as a backup resource to the AITR for approvals in ticketing system for onboarding/off boarding requests, domain account changes, etc.
• Extracting and analyzing data from KSE in support of agency-wide projects (e.g., Windows 2016 upgrades)
• Supporting governance processes by preparing BRTs, PBAs, and PGRs for internal projects or procurements exceeding $250K.

Minimum Qualifications
• Demonstrated knowledge and experience in supporting customers with desktop technical issues.
• Experience with Microsoft operating systems, Active Directory Services, etc.
• Experience in asset management for both physical and logical assets such as laptops, peripherals, software, etc. Tracking OS upgrades and assisting with tracking and scheduling.
• Demonstrated ability to review and make recommendations for technical solution proposals as they apply to proposed projects and procurements.
• Ability to pay close attention to detail with validating and verifying the monthly VITA bill as it pertains to the agency to identify and reduce operating costs wherever possible.
• Experience working in highly regulated environments.
• Strong technical, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
• Attention to detail with excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to develop and present complex material effectively to a variety of audiences technical and non-technical is required.
• Excellent problem solving, research, and follow-up skills.
Additional Considerations
• Previous experience with desktop support and Audio-Visual equipment is preferred.
• Experience with Microsoft Power BI desktop report creation is a plus.
• Experience with ServiceNow, Apptio and ARS is preferred.
