Role Overview
Join the largest and greenest fleet operator in the UK as a Vehicle Technician at our Bristol workshop. The role involves maintaining a fleet of over 49,000 vehicles, including traditional fuel, electric, LCVs and HGVs.
Responsibilities
* Perform routine inspections, diagnostics, maintenance and repairs on a wide range of vehicles, trailers, and mechanical equipment.
* Use your personal toolkit for routine maintenance and light/heavy goods vehicle repairs, and access specialist tooling and shared equipment in our modern workshops.
* Support the team on flexible shift rota as needed.
Qualifications
* IMI Level 3 in Light or Heavy Vehicle or equivalent.
* Hands‑on experience working on a variety of LCV and HGV models.
* Own standard repair toolkit.
* Full UK manual driving licence, preferably HGV with trailer experience.
* High working standards and pride in workmanship.
* Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and potential night shifts.
Working Hours & Shift Pattern
Full‑time, 39.5 hours per week, 5 days per week. Rotating shift pattern – early, day, and late shifts. Weekend work every three weeks (week‑days off when weekends are worked). Potential for future night shifts.
Salary & Benefits
* Base salary £39,715 plus a shift allowance of £87.58 per week when working the late shift that finishes at 22:00.
* Weekend supplements: £52.10 per shift on Saturday and £104.20 on Sunday.
