We’re looking to recruit a permanent B6 Technologist (a.k.a Dosimetrist) here at Oxford University Hospitals NHS FT.
The role is primarily based in treatment planning, therefore you'll need to be able to evidence prior treatment planning experience and competence. You'll also need to already have or be very close to attaining relevant registration as detailed in the person specification.
The Oxford radiotherapy service is delivered across our three sites; Oxford, Swindon and Milton Keynes. Depending on your suitability and experience, we may be able to offer a post based entirely (with occasional travel to our main site in Oxford) at either our Swindon or Milton Keynes satellite if you'd prefer not to relocate to Oxford.

The role is primarily in support of treatment planning, with aspects of quality assurance and other duties. You will be registered with RCT or HCPC.

This post will participate in all aspects of the Radiotherapy Physics Service including carrying out highly complex treatment planning, treatment machine quality control and pre-treatment patient QA, introducing new techniques and carrying out applied research. There may also be the opportunity to be involved in the brachytherapy service.
The postholder also provides expert advice to consultant oncologists and other healthcare professionals to resolve problems with complex Radiotherapy equipment and treatment plans.
