Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Body Shop Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assessing vehicle damage and providing accurate estimates for repairs. This role requires a strong understanding of automotive mechanics, as well as proficiency in using hand and power tools. The Body Shop Estimator will play a crucial role in ensuring customer satisfaction by delivering precise and timely estimates while maintaining high standards of quality.
Duties
* Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and filling holes or imperfections.
* Select appropriate paints and materials based on project requirements.
* Apply paint using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment to achieve desired finishes.
* Ensure all work areas are kept clean and organised throughout the painting process.
* Inspect completed work for quality assurance and make necessary touch-ups.
* Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and on schedule.
* Adhere to safety protocols while using tools and equipment in compliance with regulations.
Experience
* Proven experience as a Painter or in a similar role is preferred.
* Strong mechanical knowledge related to painting techniques and equipment.
* Proficiency in using power tools and hand tools relevant to the trade.
* Ability to perform heavy lifting as required during the preparation and application processes.
* Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
* Good communication skills and the ability to work well within a team environment.
* A valid driving licence may be advantageous for travel between job sites.
